Sounds like a typical (jealeousy I think) toyo pootrol response to me.
You will be fine providing your not landing with full throttle etc - common sense stuff.
I run heavy ice breaker chains on all 4 wheels regularly and drive (spin) them hard on occasions.

i run the 31 inch extremme trekker centerpedes. the best tire i have used (only used cheap mts before hand). i have had a few problems with breakages tho, the first time out i smashed apart my front left cv, and the right is about to go as well, since i have reconsidered my driving style nad havnt broken anyhting since.

Good tires for competition. Otherwise, stay off them and they are too expensive to run around in. I broke one rear axle shaft and twisted a CV joint when my right foot challenged an almost vertical incline 3meters up. I reached the top and stayed there for awhile, I am happy with normal MT as long as they are 35". I am on a Gen 1 LWB with a Starion 2.6 engine.
