Topping up battery with DI water

Post by danos »

When topping up a battery with De-ionized water, how far do you fill them? My manual says do not overfill so i put enough in to just cover the cells.

Thanks

Depending on the battery, if you look down into the cell your battery probably has a plastic "sleave" that goes down below the thread the cap screws into. Fill it to the bottom of the sleave, the plates should always be covered (even on angles etc)

Hope that make sense.
