Well we had a pretty average weekend. On the saturday we woke up to wet seats and then no front locker on the 1st track (air tank empty and with a blown fuse on the compressor), then had carby problems (problem ended up just being the choke flapping open and closed) and had a ok crack at the courses otherwise.

Sunday was another miserable start, with wet seats again. Apart from stuffing up on one course and then forgetting to hit the front airlocker in the mud we done ok.

Got home unpacked, had dinner, showered, and got a phone call saying we'd gotten 2nd place in OPEN

WOO HOOO! Gotta say, at willowglen we thought we'd done ok, and were surprised to get 3rd. This weekend I know I made alot of mistakes and didn't think I'd be in the running at all... to end up second in OPEN, I'm stoked :D Whoever said MTR's don't work in the wet or the mud is a fool

here is a pic of my wife and I on the steps. What a top weekend, first time competing and we had an absolute ball. 100 points on track 1 was a great highlight. don't know where we finished but we were stocked to be competative with the more experianced teams.
Well done to all involved.

Had a ordinary day on Saturday but made up for it on sunday with 100 in the mud and wombats, 95 in trees :D .

We ended up with 490 in open class.

Thanks to the Nissan Patrol club for putting on a great event. Can we put an order in for no flies or rain next year :)

A big thank you to all the competitors. You guys provided the entertainment and put up with the lousy conditions. There was next to no grumbles and everyone seemed to be having fun.
Personnally on my Womats...I had great fun and was happy to see lots of high scores. Thanks to all my helpers - good job.
And to think we almost canned Wombats.
Thanks also to the spectators for their long suffering support. you were generally a well behaved mob and we had almost no problems this year to report. Well done every one.

Results will be on the Nissan club web site in a couple of days. The ones concerned are actually still down there doing the clean up.

I wonder how you would have gone with bigger tyres. I didn't go last year but compared to how it was run previous years there has been a big improvement with recovery times and how long it takes to put competitors through the tracks. Great work Nissan club.

Had a great time and even though i babied the truck a bit still got some good points.

I ran near bald MTR's as well so Markil is right.........they arnt as bad as everyone says in the wet.

Hopefully the bunch of tools on day 1 track 3 will bring there own cars next year so they can teach everone how to drive....they were getting on my nerves after a while.
