A mechanic mate of mine crossed the leads over to cause a deliberate backfire. Turned it over a few times causing the carby to pop & puff out the crap.

Now things to remember!
1. Take the aircleaner/cover off, we don't want the crap blowing back into the aircleaner!
2. Your not trying to start the engine, just turning it over so the exhaust gases blow back through the carb, to push the crap back out the way it came in.
3. I'm no mechanic so I can't tell you which leads to cross over.
4. I suggest if you know a mechanic get him to help you. Some mechanics might not agree with this, but my mechanic did it for me and it worked.

Short of this, have the carb rekitted.

Good luck.

check ALL vacuum hoses. These have a tendancy to slip off and cause a rough idle...If your air cleaner is in good nick then there shouldn't be any reason why you have crap in your carby....check the simple things first and work up!
