lowering my lux

ive just moved into a new house and got a 2 car garage so i can have a workshop BUT now my lux wont fit its to high. if i drop heaps of air out of the tires and pull off the tray it should fit but it sits around more than it drives sum times a few mnths will sitting for a month on flat tyres damage the rubber? by the way i run 35inch claws

yea i can get a set of road tyres on rims for 200 but i dont realy wana have 2 chage the tyres everytime i go out. so does this mean it will damage my tyes?

I would think it would be less trouble Changing tyres to smaller 30's or 31's than removing tray then airing down.. a good jack and Rattle gun have them changed in 5 mins . Just my View..

park it outside with a tarp over it :D :armsup:





put smaller wheels on it when ya not off 4wding, like stewy said, 5 mins if ya got a rattle gun, 15 if ya dont. a jack under the middle of the dif will get both wheels off the ground, so thats less jacking needed

Just go to ya Local Shed Placce... and thell thems yo problem.... they Could probably Cut the Beam out above and lift it up... or something like that...

You could prob do it yourself.. Wouldnt reccommend it tho :P

Oh, Damn Ya, thats a Prime idea.. Ever if you just Jack hammer the First bit up!!

Neer the enterance and Angle it down so you have just enough room to clear the enterance.!!!

then just get a bit of a slurry mix of cement and smooth it of.


Still cheeper than New tyres lol

this is wat i did to my truck to lower it 3" IFS springs outta the new model lux, and lowered front springs with custom packs, i also remounted my shocks on the back and put commo shocks in the front, is flexie as and low, i had that set up with 35" micky claws and it sat at almost stock height.... dunno if thats anyhelp mate

35's at sock hieght, so you have your springs in upside down? any car with 35's and no lift will be higher than stock by miles... :?:

oh and m8 i swap for dd tires all the time, easy as, as said, rattle gun and a jack.. with the tires beside me ready to roll and compreesor pumped up my record time is 2.5 mins with a m8 helping. if thats not quick enuf then fark me :rofl: without a mate 5min

I agree compressor and rattle gun is the way to go you can pick up a cheap 2 1/2 horse compresor gun and other tools for $300 and thats new or you could get a lange 4x4 comp and a realy big tank you could even use your tools on the track might take a wile to fill up tho

Or You could Spend 50$ on hireing a Nuematic Jackhammer for a day. and take the front bit of the slab out and 20$ for a bag of cement and Angle it down so you can get yo Beast in there in one go??

Hell of alot cheeper and less time consuming than a Rattle gun and new tyres lol
