upgrading td42 alternator with vac pump
upgrading td42 alternator with vac pump
Does anyone know who in vic upgrades the td42 alternator to get more amps out of it?
goto www.aea.com.au and have alook there. Theres an 120amp model with the VAC pump mounted on the rear. From memory they just need a slight grind of the mounting tabs to fit. Also from what has been said on here their pretty cheap.

Nice idea but far from a cheap option. As you need a complete front case and some other stuff. And unless the wreckers know the motors stuffed. They aint real keen on pulling them apart.GQ4.8coilcab wrote:also have a look at a GU vac pump off a factory turbo to retrofit, then alternator options are endless.
Where as a 120amp alt with vac pump from AEA can be had for under $400.
