Other than a rangie spitting a sidegear out the rear diff pumpkin, ive never actually heard of anyone doing damage to theyre pumpkins enough to require this level of protection, what r u guys doin to em?

I've seen a couple. If the cover gets pinched between a rock and the ring gear the gear will tear a little chunk out of the housing.

Sierras and Range rovers have quite thin housings in this area.

PS Steve F, you imported 54 products into Australia that were actually made here?

Yep, it was about $8 dearer but quicker to get them from the US (Was Rockcrusher now Solid Axle), I waited 3 months trying to get them from Rockcrusher locally (still called Rockcrusher) but in the end could wait no longer as I had presold them all as it was a group buy. I kept getting told another week but it never was :( shame I would have rather kept the money here.

ARB make a great unit.

bolts are recessed in so they dont get damaged, drain plug ( normal dana diffs dont have this) and even a wanky dip stick for checking fluid levels.

the ARB one replaces the entire plate cover doesnt it?


heres mine, works a charm, havnt had any problems yet!

I am waiting on one i just ordered from the guys at locktup 4x4.

for the price they charge i wouldnt bother making one.

a sheet of A4 paper, who can go wrong?? with the driving i do its as much added protection as i need :D

More then likely stronger and offers more protection then the factory cover :twisted:

Mmm swaybar ay? I don't run any cover on my front diff but i'd like to. Really would feel abit safer knowing theres something extra. Stoopid salisbuys. I noticed your runnin claws too :armsup: I just sold mine lol. Will get around to makin a diff guard one of these days though, readin this thread has given me motivation...sorta

the swaybar isnt conected, its just i left the part on my axle, just incase i decide to re-conect it, ya never know.... it may happen... and its a fairly chunky bit of bar thats abit more protection...


got the claws about 3 weeks ago, running on 16" rims, got tires and rims for $980!!!! only did 2300km when i got em! heaps better than my bald hankooks... they had the steel belt comming thru... thats bad....
