Post by keechox@autospeed.com »

gday,
does anyone know if roll bars off a soft top can be fitted INSIDE a swb tin top? are they short enough in height to fit inside? :?:

Don't like your chances mate.
Would probably be OK height wise but how do you plan on getting it in there? The back door is smaller than the car.

Not having a hardtop so this may be totally off the mark but you might be able to feed them through the passenger door if you take both seats out.

Use a ratchet strap to pull bar together at bottom to get it in , then release it , Cheers Paul.

I just put one inside a hardtop - I bought the bar off ebay - I assume it was off a softop. I had to take out both seats, unbolt the seat belts from the B pillers, and take the cover off the interior light! It was a tight squeeze but a bit off pushing here and there by hand and it went in fine.

cheers

There was a thread on this on zuwharrie and it was decided that with the ends ratchet straped together and the rear door open all the way with the stopper it will just fit. But I remember somthing about rear pads not meeting wheel well but that might have been a thread on jeep bars into zuks??
