Was out at Ipswich Spare Parts (wrecker) on the Warrego Highway yesterday, and they were wrecking an early Vitara. It did not have a carby though, and was the one with the 3 speed auto (Trimatic I belive).

Dont have a clue what they would want for it, and dont know what sort of condition it was in, short of the missing carby.
Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.

After i get the new engine, im going to save up and get some extractors and 2" exhaust.

Any suggestions on brands, or future mods?

After a searching for a week there has been a change of plans, instead of getting a 1.6l vitara engine, i will rebuild my 1.3L because of the long waiting list on parts. Im getting the rebuild at suzi sport in albion, they are about a $1000 cheaper than anywhere else i have looked. Should have my zuke back on the road next week :D

all gaskets, main and big end bearings, pistons, rings and the little caps that stop oil going past your valves but can't think of the name right now.

i'm doing a in car rebuild are the engine isn't that old (broke a piston as it has a hair dryier on it) so the only thing i can't get at is the main bearings witch are fine.
