The old girl feels like a new car with the new gearbox (thanks to MM) and I finally fitted my extractors that have been sitting under the bed for the last 3 1/2 years.... She actually revs out nicely now past 4k and the improvement in fuel economy on the highway is amazing.
Funny thing though, low end grunt is hugely improved, much more drivable around town and in the rough, but even though she revs out more readily and achieves better/higher cruising speeds on the highway, I'd go so far as to say that torque may have actually dropped off a little in the top end, so big long hills are a little slower than previously
We both spent a bit of time with the front's up in the air - makes for some good pics. Although on one particular climb my "pose for a photo" got a little out of hand.
It certainly seems to be a characteristic of Feroza's, next time will do an oil change whilst it's up there.
( usual disclaimers )
It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
