Weight of bull bars

Post by tritontray »

Hi,
Could someone let me know the approximate weight for a navara size steel bull bar. obviously not specifically a navara bar, but is it 50, 60, 70kg?I need to let the transport company know who is delivering it for me.

call the manufacturer. we dont know how much the specific bar that you purchased from a specific company to fit your specific year model vehicle is going to weigh.

a navara sized bar would come under the category of hilux bar, triton bar, courier bar, bravo bar....thanks for your help *&^%wit. this place is a really bad if you want to know something thats got nothing to do with 8 inch lifted patrols and cruisers. and i mentioned it dodn't need to be specifically navara.

No need to start getting shitty mate.
It is a fair call.
You really do need to be more specific.
Is it a steel bar or an ally one?
Is it a winch bar?
Is it a complete bumper replacement bar or just a wrap around original bumper?
There is a lot of variables to take into account.

IMO there is enough info provided by tritontray (hilighted) for someone to be able to give a helpful response. I would gladly answer his first query, only I dont know the answer.

Good call! :D And that applies everywhere, not just here.

BTW, I don't know the answer to your original question. I would have guessed 20-25kg, but I really don't know! I reckon my tube bar will be about 10-15km when I'm done with it.

Thanks for all the replys. and all the defences as well!

As it turns out, it is an aluminium bar that is coated in a black hammer tone. Hence why I thought it was steel (I only had digital photos to go from) the wecker guy told me its weight.......Maybe start a guessing game on Aluminium bars! its 21kg anyway.

Thanks again for all your help.

 I thought that was plenty of info too. I suppose some people are just too ignorant to read the WHOLE question before shooting someone down. :bad-words: Hey, anyone for a job with Vic police??? (only kidding) :D
