it wouldnt, it only makes lockrites easier to turn, as there is no power coming from the drive shaft and they will unlock.

It does, I shift down too 2HI for tight turns without un-locking the hubs, there is a difference as the drive is not going to the front, having the twin stick will allow you to have 2L which will work alot better in tricky sections than 2HI. Basically your letting the front move different to the rest of the wheels. On the other hand you can then leave your hubs unlocked and go 2L when you need it without doing damage.
..wrench, wheel, wreck repeat..

Also with the way most brakes are biased you could smoke the rears on the brake and spin pretty much on the spot in 2L if you really needed to, kinda like the opposite of rear disconnect and front burns but with the same effect.

I don't own a zook yet. However once i sell the GQ, i'll be looking into one to continue the weekend fun I had in the GQ. I don't know what the giveaway components are  . However if i'm lucky to win it, I will most likely get a zook and fit them on.

One question why wouldn't you want twin sticks.
Just got the longwheel base six months ago,
now runs 31x10.5 with the 2" spring lift,
future mods include winch and new frount bar,
new rear bar & tow bar & let's hope some new sweet ZukEvil Twin performance twin sticks

How awsome the Locktup4x4 guys are!

Post by GRPABT1 »

Hey guys this may annoy some of you, it may not but I just had to let you guys know how awsome Jason and Chris at locktup are. I have ordered a fair bit of gear off them of late (gears, mighty kong etc) and a couple of times there were minor stuff ups that weren't reall their fault and nor did it bother me in the long run. Firstly due to some postage/frieght bungle to do with thanks giving day in USA the gears took quite some time to get here (no problem cause I wasn't in a rush). Then I ordered a mighty kong bash plate/transfer mount and the matching gorilla grip unbreakable mounts, which for some reason came with the wrong type of mounts becase the supplier packed the wrong ones in the USA  .

Now during all of this I had been emailing Chris the whole time who was extremely helpful, polite and ever apologetic. The guys had already thrown in a free DVD and the little input shaft bearing for the gears for my troubles but Chris mentioned that I may get a set of twin sticks to trial, FOR FREE! Now being someone who has never won anything in their life and that believes (up intul now) that nothing comes for free I was a little skeptical. So when this competition came up I thought oh well theres my twin sticks and figured I might aswell enter, which I did. Then I got an email 2 days ago saying that they had just sent me a present ¿ To which I replied "oh did I win the competition"? And to my suprise Chris informed me that the competition was still going but I had been given a set of twin sticks because I was a loyal valued customer

Well after all of this I was still a little skeptical...until this morning when I was woken up by a postal worker try to bash my door down  My twin sticks are now here  :D

So as I said this may piss some of you guys off who like me in the past have never recieved anything for free but hopefully it inspires some more of you to enter this competition knowing that these guys are genuine.

Building up a LWB.

Already have:
Lockers
Gears
Suspension
Tyres etc etc
As soon as my bike is done I'll be starting on the zook (need the bike for uni)

Image

TBH Im not entering because I need twin sticks, but moreso to support great ideas like this. If I ever need to buy 4wd gear I will
definitely be coming to you guys first due to you running comps like this.

Well with a 1.0 narrow track short wheelbase i need all the help i can get. The abilty to have better control on the way i can drive would make life much easier and a little less scary.
