whats the lowest lift to fit 37" tyres

whats the lowest lift needed to fit 37" tyres with guard chopping, but not exessive chopping.

I want to know what people have done not hear say or rumors or he said this or that

4" spring and 2" body

get soft/medium springs

cut the front and back of the wheel arch to allow the tires easy.

3inch springs and a 2inch body lift will do the job. sum guard cutting will be needed .

2 and 2 will work if you cut enough guard out. Daves dad runs Q78's (although only 36)with that.

do you mean genuine 37's or tires called 37s.. Some are only 36 high etc.

well the tyres are 37" boggers. i measured them and from what i can gather, they are a true 37" tyre. some say 36" but i measured the curcumfence and was pretty close to 37"


ok sweet ill order the 2" lift kit to lower my 4x4. i guess if i need an entra inch ill put in spring spacers then

If it were a ute, can easily do it and of course with no trimming. However, need to space the front diff forward about 20mm to get enough clearance if running 10" rims with little offset. Not too sure, but might be able to get away without having to do this if the 37's are on 8" rims.

Yep, keep them 1" coil spacers handy for Justin Case.

my gq ute can run 37's with 2" body n stock springs with front gaurds trimed slightly and a 13mm front arm spacer. looks good.

Gaurds are cut 65mm longer front n back n 15mm higher.

you need to take into consideration your rim offset too.

With large offset, more of the guard is needed to be cut out

4 inch spring, no body lift, no gard chop in the front with only a bit in the rear.

Zook60 fitted 38 Maxxis creepy crawlers to a GQ shorty with only a two inch spring lift just by trimming the guards and extending the rear bump stops 65mm. You will definitely fit 37s with a 2 inch spring lift only.

I'd be willing to bet you could fit them with no lift at all just by spacing your diffs and trimming the guards and extending the rear bump stops.

we have done 38 x 13 swampers on GQ with 3" suspension lift, and 40mm bump stop spacers, to cope with the longer shocks, so more droop, as well as larger tyres.

We do cut a fair amount out of the fenders, and fit rubber flares to do it, but it looks right when its done, and the orginal mud flaps go back on.

hehe, bogged, i figured that, but i ment where, front rear top, inside out side, how much that type of thing, i was basicaly thinking when i start doing it to just flex the car up (with a fork lift so i can get it to absolute maximum) and mark where the tyres rub then chop it out???

Only an idiot would use a nine inch grinder to chop gaurds. A 5 or 4 inch do the job just fine.

my ute with 37's with stock springs, basicly cut the front gaurds like Z()LTAN's pics, and has a 50mm body lift with 14mm front arm spacers. It had a TJM T15 bull bar n needed the wings removed to stop scrubbing on full lock.

I used a hack saw n a 12mm bolt with hack saw cut through the end, straight in like a screw driver slot, the depth of the hack saw blade to roll the steel gaurd for a nice round edge.
