hey i did my clutch the other day and all the oil in my gearbox drained out the back where the jack shaft is. What oil do i use? and where do i fill it up?

Just regular gear box oil from Super cheap or repco or anywhere is fine. The right way to fill it is from the side (there will be a 1/2 inch plug on the bottom and side) Remove the side one, when it comes out, its full, alternativly you could also remove the gear stick, and fill from the top, from memory the gear box takes 1.3L, the transfer 800ml.

90W is the correct stuff. As said, this is generic gear oil.

I thought the plugs were 3/8" square drive not 1/2" ?

If you don't know when the oil was changed in the diffs and transfer do them as well.

Oops, yep, 3/8. My bad :oops:

But yep, check everything, the front diff takes more thatn the rear, and if i remember tonight, i'll post up the exact amounts for you.

i went to super cheap this arvo and read in the book that my sierra should take 80W-90???? so that's what i put in.
