i took my load springs out of my suzi this morning and went for a drive the places where i usally need a run up i just crawled through without a hassle no wheel spin at all so yea it does work a treat

My EFS springs are 2yrs old and are as hard as the day i put them in so let me know how it works out ,Bonermrw82 wrote:he's saying he took the load leaf out of the springs and is very impressed with the increased performance.
im thinking of doing this to the rear of my LWB zook and fit 2" extended shackles to make up for any sag when loaded up. i have 2" EFS springs and they are very stiff.

I've very recently removed the overload springs in the rear, and in the front i removed the 3rd from the top (which was the 2nd from the bottom) At the same time, i also disconnected the spring retainers (think thats what their called). I was very, very happy with the result, got more flex, and a-lot softer. I put a winch on 2 weeks ago, and had to put the leafs back in the front.. sagged it down to much!!

I run 3 leaves in the front and 4 in the back (I would run 3 in the rear too if I never carried loads) and I find it works well offroad. Body rolls a bitch round corners on road though but I can live with that.

Yup yup.. thats the one. You have the same set up as what i had.. in your case (someone please correct me if im wrong!!) i would be removing that overload spring, and then once the o/load spring is out, then remove the third from the top. If your planning on getting a winch, only remove the o/load one.. made a big difference to mineCairnsZook wrote: is the overload spring the very bottom one, with the bolted retainer? OK, the front end is pretty sweet now. I took out the 2nd from the bottom and she rides A LOT smoother! Front flexes reasonably well too (well more than it did anyway).
In the rear end, replaced the 2nd from the bottom, and removed the very bottom leaf. It is not flexing as well as the front, ie. wheel not tucking up under the guard. I will probably remove the 2nd from bottom as well.

nice looking zook mate!! Good to hear you've got the front end heaps better!! When that pic was taken, the rear wasnt hitting on the bump stops was it??

bugga!! Like you said.. remove another one.. then you'll have the same set up as myself, GRPABT1, and plenty others.. and that set up seems to work pretty bloody good!! Your in Launy to are you? Should go out for a play sometime!!

Yuppers.. the very bottom one, which will be short, and thicker than the others. Have a look at the 2nd pic that CairnsZook put up.. you will see it there. To my believing, (and what i found with mine) it rolls a bit more around corners, softer to ride in, fexs more, but you wont be able to carry as much weight, so it's going to be a try/trial thing i guess.
