I hit a pothole in my 96 coiler fairly severely today, and forced my shock up through the top of the strut tower. It has torn the top of the tower completely open.
I would like to hear from anyone else that has done this and would love to hear how you went about repairing it.
Cheers all, Wellsey.

Strut tower failure.
Yep, seems to happen to most of them
I repaired one for a club member, I think I just welded a heavy (2.5mm thick) washer over the break. lasted very well after that. This car a BL in it tough, so maybe is was easier to get the welder in there.
Steve.

Mine happend within the 5 year warranty on mine but suzuki refused to warrant it as I hadnt had it serviced with them although I hadthe equivelent done.
Went to a fab shop and they could believe it had happened on road (this was just my d/d the leafy was my toy)
Anyway did what Steve said, then when my bro bought it off me (rolled it)
he had them readjusted to suit lifted coils with stock struts as the $200 each ultimate suspension struts for a lifted zuk were the same size with a thinner piston!!!
