gday just wanted to no is the mk 5speep box and the gq 5speed box the same bolt patten to the bellhousing. thanks
Not possible without adaptors and a suitable spudshaft. The gearbox mainshaft sizes/splinecount are very similar in size between MK/GQ, but not exact. The T130A transfer case in the MK is only slightly lower in reduction ratio compared to the TX12 transfer in the GQ. For the conversion to be wortwhile,you would keep the gq transfer and adapt the MQ transfer to that giving you double the reduction. BUT that involves machining up an adaptor to replace the back half of the gq transfer. Have a read of the later posts on the 'Nissan Doubler' thread on pirate and you'll get the idea
