60 Series windscreen wiper.

Post by sambo »

My windscree wiper has a lot of slop. Sometimes it stops about 200mm from the bottom of the windscreen, and a few times it has gone right off the bottom.

I haven't looked at it yet but has anyone else had the same problem, how did you fix it.

Will an 80series windscreen wiper and mechanism fit into a 60series.

Both wipers have the same slop? Linkage/s rooted under cowl. Prone to rusting out.

Only one wiper has slop? Tighten retaining nut on offending wiper arm(after positioning the arm in its correct location).

The first thing to check is the Retaining nut on the pivot end of the wiper arm. If they are both tight then it is probably one of the linkages. The plastic bushes in the ends of the wiper linkages. You can still get them genuine and they're fairly cheap.
