has anyone here used maxxis creepy crawlers?? im looking at 37x12.5x16's. how do you find them...any good at all on mud? or just good for rocks

had a read thanks for that, only question is rim size? is 8 inch ok or do i need to go 10 in the 37?
a few guys spoke about it with the 35's but not sure bout 37's

I ran and will continue to run the same tyre on an 8" rim.

They will all work.
8 inch rim, you'll find the tyre will crown more.

I'm happily using the same tire and size on 8'' non-bead locked rim.

8'' rim will be fine just don't run super low pressure. i ran 36/12.5 pedes on my old gq wagon. 12 to 18 psi would be fine. they moulded around rocks nice and never looked like comin of the bead.

in response to this I always ran mine at 8-10 psi , no beadlocks and never had a drama!

They will be fine. My only other bit of advice is if you are using them to travel short distances on road you will still not need any more than 26psi in them.

I ran them to fraser and back and full time onroad at 26psi, started at 35 and worked my way down to this optimum pressure. (this was under a Range Rover, 2ton vehicle)

how much does that thing weigh?. And he is probably running internal bead locks being a rock crawler.

I have found the 8" retain better ;)

EDIT: this is with steel wheels, never been lucky enough or bling enough to have alloys :oops:

1100 kg, that's the heavier end (with engine). No internal bead lock, just a set of standard alloy Toyota SR5 rims.

Ive got creepy's and my mate has treps,and i honestly cant seem to put one over the other,there both a awsome tyre,but ild still go the creepy's coz ive got em :twisted:

I have the 35x12.5x15" Creepies.
They clear the mud out nicely.

They crown a lot on an 8" rim

But sit a bit better on an 8" beadlocked rim. This is at 7PSI. Very strong side walls.

Can't comment on how the 37"s will sit on the rim.
