GQ steering wheel .....wanted
GQ steering wheel .....wanted
Hey again,
I'm chasing after a grey Gq steering wheel in really good nick.
Mine is a 90 model, but anything upto 97 should fit.
I don't mean to be scabby, but the cheaper the better, and the closer to redcliffe(north brisbane)the better.
Thanx
James.

Why not buy an aftermarket one?? would be cheaper... But if your desperate, i have my old one hanging in the shed....

I know that steering wheel.Approx how tall are you,and can you still see all the guages ok?
I'm 6'1(183cm)
Thanx
Yea Im about 6'1 round, and high.. can you see the gauges, well ... sorta. You can see the speedo up to about 30kph, then from about 140 onwards.
Depends how you have the steering column tilted, mine is adjustable.
I have marked dots on the instrument panel with a texta, so I know where the important speeds are, 40,50,60,70,80,90,100,110...
KRI55 wrote:ok,i drive with the tilt right up.
1) Is there any chance in that position of seeing the speedo with the sports wheel?
2) What sort of nick is your original steering wheel in,and how much would you want for it?
1) maybe, depends on how you sit, sometimes if I kick back a little yes I can see the whole thing. but other times when I sit right forward, nope.
2) $25 + post.
what condition is it in?
Mine is falling to pieces at the top...just wearing away from 280k's.
How much do you reckon postage would cost?
Could you arrange a c.o.d. if i buy it?
Might grab that GQ factory handbook/manual as well if you still have it.
Would it be asking to much for you to post a pic of the wheel, mainly the top of it where your hands go?
Sorry about all the q's,and thank you for your patience and help.
Cheers james.
