Hey guys I am lookin for a bit more power out of my Zuk and as my orig
1.3L carby is in desperate need of a rebuild and the cost of that is way too
expensive compared to replacing it with a Weber kit (Only $150 more
to put a weber on it) plus the power gain not to mention, But thats still a
massive out lay for my budget build so I have been lookin into fitting a
XF Falcon 34ADM Weber carby to it like this one:
I found a mint one @ the Wreckers for $35 so clean it wont even need a
kit put thru it! Thats much cheaper for a start. As for fitting her up!
I know I need to make up an adaptor plate similar to this:
I was also going to make up an Air Box for it like these:
Which should make hooking my Snorkel up easy as!
I was just wondering if anyone on here had tried fitting one of these to
their rigs and if so what they thought of them as well as if there was any
problems they had? Also if anyone has any advise or thing's I should
look out for in trying 2 fit this to my G13ba? All responses welcomed!

I'm running a falcon weber on mine too.. bugga all power increase, but alot more responsive. Plus, i have the same old problem of it fueling up.. mainly up hill (which we all know about!!) I havent looked into changing jet sizes or anything what so ever yet.. but i will definatly be doing it soon. The only problem is the thread which has got all the info on it is 15 bloody pages long!!!!!! I know that a local carby shop refused to touch it.. saying that i will NEVER see the day that the carby will run ok with that motor. I can see where his coming from, but the fella i got it off ensured me it run swet on his zook!!
F&R ARB air lockers, lux diffs, 4 link coil rear, drop shackles, inboarded ranchos, stage 4 reduction gears, 35" silverstones, 9500 winch, RUF, 1.6 EFI, swimming goggles
Smaller jets are available but the air metering is the problem.
Put a weber off a 250 X flow on a 200 and it will fuel up because of the smaller volume of air pulled through it..
A 1.3 is only 78 cubic inches so a LOT smaller than the intended 250 cu in.
Get a Corolla carb from wreckers off a 3-4-5K... It will just about bolt on, use same fuel as a stock zook carb and won't flood on hills like a weber.
Better yet get a stock zook carb and kit it.

I Wonder if the Sierra Jets for the 32/36 Weber are interchangable with the 34ADM? Does anyone Know? and if not what size jets would suit?

Was a bit better than the zook carby powerwise, but not as good offroad (but may have been the way mine was setup).
Best mod I did was buy a standard carb to replace it with. Runs all but upside down and for me that 's better than the a handful of extra horsepower it might have given.

All this info is great keep em coming and if you have pics of your set up
post em up for all to see! I would like to see what set up's are being used a how well they work ,at $35 I haven't lost out much so willing to look at other options that work better for an off road application mainly.
Will be doing alot of hills, extreme angles and laying over a fair bit so want

I have a weber on my zook its the best thing i have done.
but it has had a bit off work done to it so it can run with out flooding
up hill down hill and on side angles it worked that good that i all most put
on its side.the work was done by a mate of mine because thats what he dose a carby workshop. it has 2 pumps and a bit of play about.

Trying to skim read this and supervise my daughters 14th but from what I know I think?? the 34 is a solex a copyof a weber but then again Ive had a few lemonades
But I do know the 34 isnt as good as the 32/36. Way more info on the 32/36 swap and with a little work can run great on and off road and be economical!!

Maybe pm built4thrashing he is one of the few Iknow that ran that model carb.

I bodged up a 34ADM and an airbox similar but different to the one you pictured. Only difference was I just ran a small SC blowthrough on it at about 5psi. I just kept the jets/tune the same as the stock XE ones. Went hard as till I cracked piston #3. People tell me that's normal on a Coilly, regardless of boost. Either way I ended up with a 1.6 EFI so all is good
