Transfer case question.

Post by dazzah »

Hi,
Have some questions, hopefully you can offer some advice, I purchased an 86 model kingcab navara at the start of the year with the plans of doing it up. Have only briefly spoken to an engineer about what I want to do, the first step was a sas up front...now the current navara transfer has driveshaft on passenger side, the patrol diff (using mq diff) has diff on drivers side, so been trying to work that out (flipping diff, etc) just recently started thinking bout the engine, wasn't planning on keeping z24 as they are crap, easiest conversion I can think of is the commodore v6 and wanting an auto...I know marks adaptors and similar companies sell transfer adaptors to suit navara, but what are your thoughts on using a different transfer case with front output on drivers side (won't have to play with diff then), thoughts on which one, would a gq work or maybe hilux??? Just have to pick one that I can also adapt to auto box...

what do you want it for in the end?

$5-10k of mods, with engineering you could buy a lux or GQ for that coin.
