Yeah I'm doin a coil conversion on a 47' running a 3.8 and auto I m just working out what link setup to run I've looked at the hilux of luky 4X4 customs and its nice and simple. then theres the standed 80 series setup very simple maybe even run a X link but hav heard they are over rated ?? not sure. then there is a 5links setup which flex well and I hav heard hav poor in road manners??
So whats ur thoughts Its not a daily driver and fabricating isnt an issue as Im and engineer but just trying to work out the best way of goin

agreed, I think a 4link gives you the best of both worlds, but it depends on the engine and chassis and lift etc, it no good putting a badly set up 4 link in coz that would will fit if you can get a well set up 3link panhard of 5 link set upZ()LTAN wrote:its only a matter of making another cross member in front of the trans one.

my home built cross link flexs quiet well in my 80, and drives like a std 3 link when u lock it off.
To put it into perspective they are 38's that its dropping below the sills..
Shits all over the std 3 link set up...
and my arms are flipped to, which im sure does help a fair bit
