slider grip tape

Post by ash_on_mtb »

I searched, I really did, but I couldn't find any thoughts on that 3M grip tape that many people use atop their sliders instead of chequerplate...?

Where can I get it, is there a better alternative, and price when *you* bought it last?

Thanks,

you can also get it from boat supply stores, who always seem to have it in a lot more width sizes for different application. It's used alot as non slip boat deck grip.

Would have to be one of the best mods I've done in the past. Sliders, rear bar and also a bit on the top surfaces of the main bar section of the bullbar (the flat areas just below the headlights if you know what I mean).

Any where you might need to climb off when you are up to your freckle in a bog hole trying to get to the snatch strap you attached earlier just in case.......you're nodding aren't you....you've been there before.

Simple and cheap!

A few years back I bought a sheet designed for a skateboard deck - $10 from a surf shop, from memory.

I used a bit to wrap a handgun frame, to provide better grip. When the government bought the gun back (5 years ago now  ) they added $90 to the price for the "aftermarket grip."
