If you've got a rear LSD and it still works OK then I'd go for the front.

nope, i'm a firm believer in locking the wheel that lifts most often. less strain on your CV's and Centre when it comes back to earth, and the biggest gain in drive

Go the rear, that's where most of your drive comes from when you're crawling up an obstacle. Front locker rarely ever gets used in my truck. (maybe I need to find some nastier tracks) Mates current model lux with zero flex is a new machine with rear locker fitted

front locker

Front always the front...
Unless you want to do burnouts..
Locker on the front will allways pull you over, & you have the LSD in the back....
Just want to play...........

The front first......... My theory is that when crawling up an obstacle most of the weight of the vehicle will be on the rear wheels, giving more traction. The front end will be lighter hence more likely to lose traction.

Whichever way you go the ability of your 4wd will improve dramatically, so enjoy!

Put in another vote for the front ,for all the above reasons, even if you didnt have an LSD in the rear you would go the front.

locker

Post by luxembuger »

I replaced the lsd rear in my lux with an ARB because the LC lsd's are shite and my front end articulates heaps better than the rear. Although the front locker was fitted not long after.
