well i ahve never had harnesses, but need them soon, and i am goin 4 point and 3'' wide. This is because i dont want that 5th point crushing ur balls when goin down hills or when u roll etc. And 3'' wide instead of 2'' so its spread across ur shoulders smore, so it doesnt cut into your body as much.

yeah I'm running Monza seats and Simpson 5 point harnesses ( fifth point not fitted for now ) Mine are also 3" wide to spread the load as mentioned.

The only thing i have found with the monza is that they are a tight fit width wise into the GQ and down the track will be looking at may be replacing.

they look like they would be harsh, eg not much padding?

Steph and I use a similar seat (see link)

http://www.racetech.co.nz/products.php? ... SPRINT.htm

Though these were not $150 ea.... they are FIA/CAMS approved.

In events like the OBC in 3hr nav stages and rough ground they are fantastis. They hold you in and allow you to drive, rather than trying to stay still on normal seats.

The only disadvantage is for Steph having shorter legs, when doing Short stages ie Ateco with a winch, they are not as easy to get in and out of quickly.
