The truck would be a 60 series SWB with two doors and on a patrol like chassis with a frame rear, big V8 and all sort of winch challenge associated accessories. the chassis would not be a patrol chassis but a copy by toyota with strong drivetrain so it would have nissan strength with toyota reliability and badge :D
Have you heard of an 80 series?
my thoughts exactly... 80 series are stronger in the chassis and have better suspension geometry than a gq...

55 series for the win... i have always hated them, until i bought one as a parts rig... and i've just had a hankering to do one up... and this doesn't help the urges

why does everyone think theGQ chassis is the shit? they crack more often than 80 chassis, have worse suspension geometry etc. stock for stock, the only significant advantage of the GQ is the front diff strength V the high pinion 8 inch.

plus the 1hd-fte is a better motor than the chev diesel... and there aren't too many 5 links that drive that well onroad...

shhhh the price of 80's is high enough. let the patrol crowd live in their delusions.

I'll just keep reaping 11l/100km from my HD-FT and enjoying 80 series comfort.
