starter motors do not have or should not have oil in them.
first :find were the oil is leaking from and getting in to the starter. (any me reseal on the motor)
Second: i you fix the oil leak you can pull the start motor down and clean the oil out and then you will not have to replace it. other wise the sarter will end up burning out.
These are a reduction drive starter that has grease on the gears internally, if it got very hot it may liquify and leak out, although I'd be looking above the starter for an oil leak.

I threw it in bin made a plate to cover hole and put electric one down on the tank cost me $90 plus some wire and relay but i do have LPG so hardly run on petrol when i do it works fine cheaper then $300 and waiting a week for it as i was on side of road in north queensland at the time
