Run the event you want to run! Don't second guess the rules this late in the game. Stick to the rules you've written up and leave it up to the punters if they show up or not.
The results of the team scores at woodpecker over the last 5 years are proof enough that good teamwork is far more important then vehicle mods.

Toperi wrote:I would like some feedback on whether we should run 2 classes, say under and over 35" tyres. We are getting a lot of inquiries about different cars with smaller tyres feeling they will have too much trouble. All the stages can and have been driven on 33" tyres, but they do much more packing etc to get through. At the moment all the stages have been driven by a hilux on 35's and a LWB Patrol on 37's. But we want your feedback, if you guys would like to see 2 classes then we will consider it.
I don't care either way as long as the comp goes ahead! If you need 2 classes to get the numbers do it.
The only thing i want to stay the same is leaving it as a 2 car team.
Im sure it will be a great event either way, all the guys in my club are keen.

We have decided to stick with just one class as it was originally.

But we will have prizes for the best placed cars running 35" tyres or smaller.

I am willing and wanting to drive. Car is set up, but cannot find a willing person to come for the drive from Albury.

Any clubs wishing for another vehicle PM or email me.

The property is about 14kms west of Orange.

More pics over the next few weeks.

And there is nothing wrong with the Datsun camera!

If we get rain just before the event there will be mud and water in the wombat holes, but nothing that will require a snorkel.

All other parts of the course are dry.

No offence champ but why do you need speficics ?

This is privately owned property and my guess is they dont want the chance of people spying / trying to drive it in the mean time.

14kms west of Orange means 3 things,

- COLD

- Add 20 mins to your trip to Orange and you will be covered

- COLD

What more do people really need at this stage ?

Do you seriously think someone from newcastle is going to tow their rig 5hrs+ (each way) to spy on a course or drive it which isnt finished yet?
besides it would be trespassing anyway?

I agree with CWBYUP as long as we find out a couple of weeks before whats the diff ? I`m sure we are intelligent enough to work out how long it will take to get there. Head for Orange and add 20 mins.....my 2c

Anyone who is at Willowglenn this weekend & is interested in finding out more details about this new competition , don't hessitate to ask anyone from the Canobolas 4WD Club who will be down there . If they cant answer your questions they will direct you to a person who can.
