hey guys,
Just trying to get the best out of my tb42 carby engine.
I have set the timing @ 10' on the markings.
I have wound the screw on the side of the carby 2 complete turns out, from all the way in.
I was just wondering is there any other things i can look at?
Also what timing degrees to you fellas run? is it best to have it on the lower side of 10 degrees or the higher side?
thanks
Badga

Tuning tb42
On the dyno I dial up maximum power by adjusting the distributor, its better with premium due to the tendancy of the stock advance curve to knock at low rpm high load. I also do some carby mods, usually have to open the power valve earlier and lean out the secondaries, it usually aids driveability and gets about a 10% power increase.
If you are really keen we can regraph the distributor to get more mid range drivability and peak power.
