I tried to search the forums, but it doesnt seem to be working for me. so sorry if im missed the right thread. im wondering what exactly is needed to lift a 5L-E hilux dualcab 2 inches, do i need to start lifting the gear box and transfer case? i really dont know haha or is it a matter of putting mounts?
whats the normal material for mounts? is it polyethalene?

Hilux body lift

I,ve got hardened nylon for mine i bought from the bearing shop around the corner and longer high tensile bolts. Cost me about $110 all up for a dualcab, Hardest part was raising my bullbar to suit and extending the steering shaft. Make sure you keep a eye on the brake lines and clutch lines when your lifting it up.
to be technially legal, you need to use either a solid metal, or a machinable plastic (polythene, Nylon etc) with a crush sleeve. Although the chances of you being able to distort 50mm of nylon (we've put some 100mx50m rods of the stuff under the drill rig feet and lifted a 15T drill rig off the ground with them!) are pretty low- thats what the law requires.
you may need to extend your shifters 2" too to keep them in the same place- thats optional though, you do need to either enlarge the hole in the floor or bend the low range lever to make it work tho

2005 HDJ100 Manual, ARB bar, XD9000 winch, ARB rooftop tent + awning, Drawers, Engel, 2" OME lift, 285/75R16 KM2's, iCom, HID XGT's.
You could lift your gearbox and transfer a little but this should be done to gain clearance under the vehicle if they hang down some what, I wouldn't lift them to make the shifter work easier as you are losing some of he benifit of the Body lift, that is to gain body clearance with out raising the centre of gravity too much
