Turbo Kit GU 4.8 (Where to buy)

Looking at turboing a 4.8 GU, anybody got any ideas on where to get stuff from ,anybody know somebody thats done it????

Any help would be great

There are manifolds available out of Dubai, I don't know about a whole kit though. Personally I'd just make it and I'd be going for aftermarket management, larger injectors, intercooler, fuel pump. They are a very efficient engine and large power increases are easily acheived. You might want to consider pistons and rods if going for larger power increases.

AXT in melbourne makes them in kit form, sells them mostly to UAE customers, call Andrew see what suits.

That kit is it for the 4.8 or 4.5

he does both, but 4.5's have been known to bend rods at 15psi (which on one of them is actually a bit or power anyway) and break autos pretty easy once they reach 165rwkw (3rd gear usually).


4.8's are quite good all round and respond well to boost.
