The 2 strokes go ok offroad ,need lower gearing if you want big tyres or weld the rear diff, not so bad with Lockrights though. The other thing with the corolla is you'll probably need to cut & shut the sump to miss the diff if you move it back.It would be fairly low already to clear even an LJ80 bonnet.
LJ10 is still going and tells you most of what you need.
