NJ speedo not working

Post by hudson44 »

Hey guys. The speedo has stopped working in the Paj. I've removed the transducer and the gears look fine. I can spin it up with the ignition on and still no reading. Ive checked there's power at pin 1, good earth at pin 2 and a voltage reference at 3. I've probed the back of pin 3 and spun it up and there is an on /off voltage pattern which would indicate there is no drama with the transducer.

Has anyone had a problem with the dash cluster? All other gauges are working fine. Its a manual but is there a gearbox module/ECU that the speedo signal runs through?

Also does anyone know if the car will run, charge etc with the cluster removed?

Just went for a spin and notices the odometer is working but not the speedo needle. Might just get a 2nd hand gauge.....
