Hey peoples.. the input shaft in my 91 WT sierra (the shaft from the gearbox, to the transfer) is only riding on half of the spline Within the gearbox. Its as though either A) The shaft has been shortened, B) the motor has been moved forward, or C) the transfer has been moved back.
But, There is no evidence of any of this happening!! Could somebody PLEASE measure their input shaft, so I can clarify it is or isn’t my shaft?? Thanks heaps!!!

shaft issues!!??
shaft issues!!??
F&R ARB air lockers, lux diffs, 4 link coil rear, drop shackles, inboarded ranchos, stage 4 reduction gears, 35" silverstones, 9500 winch, RUF, 1.6 EFI, swimming goggles
It called a "Jackshaft" for future reference.
Measured 2, and both are approximetly 245mm-250mm from pin to pin. (That is from the centre pin of one universal to the other universal). both are from '91, '92 WT SWB Sierra softop.
I was working in pretty poor light, so could not be too precise. Not really sure how much spline should be exposed either...
Hope that helps
