Hi guys, long time no chat.
I need help for a mate with a Jap import 2nd gen 4Runner, he has the 2 position transfer case lever with a button on it for 4WD.
Has anyone a wiring diagram for the electrics please, does it have any extra relays that my 'normal' (2H-4H-N-L4) system hasn't?
All the vacuum stuff on the ADD is seems OK.
He's up the other end of the country so I can't get a look at it, gotta be done via phone calls!

Nick, Don't supose you know were the relay is, the Misses is out in our 4Runner so I cant have a look at ours. But ours will be different anyway.
He must have soleniods and $hit to put the t/case in 4wd right?

i know there are 2 different types, one the current flows AC and the other DC and the solenoids always pack it up not allowing the current to activate 4x4.
In an auto it operates of the "lock" that starts the car when it is N or P, you know that safety switch on the gear lever, hense the reason on shift on the fly as the truck must be stopped to put into 4x4.
On a manual, i have no idea why, but im not 100% sure, but i think it is in the same loom as the instrumention and works of the speed sensor.
