Sierra Stalling Problem

Post by greenzook89 »

I had a look in the bible but didnt really find anything really useful... Heres my problem. My Zook likes to stall, Gets down to around 1000rpm and just cuts out. i adjusted the throttle cable to bring the revs up to around 1500rpm, sometimes it works but it will still stall occasionally, even when it idles it seems really rough and almost like its running out of fuel. I pulled the plugs out and they were really white, Seems to me that its running too lean. What do I look for?

Its a G13 sierra motor in a NT Drover

this same problem happened with my mates sierra today when we were out 4wding.
We were going along fine when his car just kept stalling every time he slowed down or stopped.
He knows jack all about cars so i hopped in and had a look, i also noticed a problem when you get up to around 3000-4000 revs the engine makes horrible noises, then once you break the 4000 line the noise stops and it sounds fine.

But all in all Vitara > Sierra

Pull your idle solenoid and blow out hte carby, then pull one of the jet access bolts and blow through that as well. Fit a second fuel filter between the pump and the carby inlet.
