GQ and GU front panhard bush size

Post by Quadcamshorty »

hi guys,

Does anyone have the inside and outside diameters of the 'axle end' front panhard bush for a GQ and GU.

I have a flogged out bush from an adj rod that seems to be a weird size so any info would be great.

cheers

hay mate, i flogged out both front bushes on my gu panard, nissan dont sell just the bushes anymore they want you to buy the whole bar. i just went to mick at superior and got 2 genuine nissan ones from him for $25 each and he pressed the old ones out and pressed the new ones in for free.

thanks guys,

the problem i've got is that the inside diameter of my panhard is a lot bigger then the standard gq one.

I havnt pulled it out to measure it, thats why i thought it may be a gu rod by mistake. I bought it second hand so i don't know the brand of the rod.

Is the inside diameter of a gu bush the same as a gq??

cheers

I have had no issues buying genuine bushes.

Nissan don't have a listing for just the bushes on the parts listings, but if you know the part numbers there easy to get.

Last ones cost me $16 each.

If nissan only sell whole panhards how did superior get some?

Only use genuine rubber bushes, poly will not last as long.

Here are the part no's for the panhard bushes
Diff end 55135-01J01
Chassis end 55135-01J10
This is for GQ & early GU

The GQ ones if I remember are the same.. Its in the GQ part #'s thread I think..
GU's they want you to buy whole panhard! Just use the GQ ones.

Also helps having a dealer that gives a shit and knows stuff... Blackburn Nissan bloke handed me the parts over counter... he knew they are available... nice try Nissan..

I have done suspension work on shit loads of GQ and GU and never seen the diff end different, chassis end did change to a large spherical bearing on later GU though.
