have got bad clutch shudder on my 94 gq have been well informed its the clutch being warped,can anyone recommend a hd unit? was going to fit a borg and beck or ap lockheed? cheers

hey guys sorry to butt in but ive just blown my clutch i think maybe gearbox but pretty sure its clutch. i had put the PBR Extreme 4x4 clutch with all thiss heavy duty hype on it which was fitted a year ago. i dont have the equipment to drop it. does anyone know of a good 4x4 mechnic to drop my box and have a look/replace clutch????? im in melbourne epping
Better off changing your clutch yourself its a very costly job to have a mechanic do it and its not that hard to do by yourself
Just had mine out to change the spigot bush (pilot bush) had to have clutch off and all also put a new thrust bearing and clutch slave cylinder in to done it by myself in about 4.5 hours with a few cans and on the concrete floor.
This is the third time ive had the box out aswell.
Done the clutch the first time then the next time clutch fork was bent and now to change the spigot bush.
My advice is while the clutch is off change the spigot bush its a $10 maximum part and for the hassle its worth it trust me

As said - dont skimp on the spigot bush/bearing. When the clutch is depressed this little jigger is taking all of the input shaft load/vibration. I've seen a dozen or so mates skimp on this part, and every one of them has had a big whinge about their new clutch cause it was still noisy.
To change the clutch is fairly easy - you just need someone that is big boned/fesively plump to catch the box when it comes down.
