hey,

me and alien the other day tried lifting the rear seats in my 2 door vit the other day with no luck.. i can fold em down but couldnt put them up... anyone know how to do this? the lever on the back right hand side (standing at rear) didnt seem to do much either.

In the swb with the split seats, the knobs on top of the seats pull up to allow the back to fold up or down. To flip the base up from the rear you need to lift the levers on the bases under the seatbelt receivers but first you need to make sure that the seats are all the way back on the base slides otherwise you can't flip them up ;)

hi mate

i have the same car swb vitara and the same thing happened to me, have a look under the seat and follow the leaver cable around and see if it is court on anything and just give it a hit. it will come loose.

Same problem in my car. The leaver stopped moving the latches as the cable gets loose so get your fingers under the latches while pulling on the leaver to release the catch.
Also try standing in the back so you can pull up on the leaver with more force.

i almost had a dam stroke trying to get those things up in mine...

So out came the grinder!
