doing the rear axle seal in my 75

Post by sprungupcruiser »

i've been looking at the exploded view of the rear axle of a 75. the way the picures has been done it looks like the seal is near the diff? is that just the way the drawing is done? i would have thought the seal would have been at the hub end of the axle housing. anyone who has done one before advice would be great, cheers

mate the seal in question is located on the very outer tube of the housing. pull your axle out and you will see it straight away.

Just done this job myself on my 75 mate, its a piece of piss takes about 30 - 40 mins per side and that was doin the bearings as well. Just be careful with the new seal as there is a small spring in there...
