16 Inch Wheels on a 60 Series Cruiser What offset is needed?

Post by PeterInSa »

Got a loan of 16" 80 Series Mags from a Wrecker put them on the front of my HJ61 and the steering arm (Pitman?) hits the mag (aluminim Toyota wheel) This is NBG. (No problem with the calipers)

Talking to ROH Headoffice they suggest a Steel 16x8 with a -8 Negative offset, this will push the wheel out 1.3cm alternatively a 16x7 witha 11 negative offset.

I understand the 60 series has a zero offset and the 80 series a +3 offset.

Would appreciate your comments on the offset and the brand you have used.

Am looking at Sunraisers probably the 7" with an offset and will spray them a metallic silver, with 265/70R16 tyres.

My understanding is that negative offset pushes the wheel out, postive closer to the body.

Thanks for replies

16x7 N13 6/139.7
16x8 N22 6/139.7

As mentioned in the other thread, You need the N22 in an 8" wide rim otherwise they foul on the tie rod ends.

Cheers,
