MK coil suspension conversion
MK coil suspension conversion
Looking for some help with setting up my mk twincab ute..... wanna put coil suspension in it.... Running a worked 327 chev with a gq diesel 5 spd.... seen a thread on here a little while ago with tech drawings from a guy who did it.... can anyone help
re gq chassis
i'm after something custom not something someone else has already engineered.... everything has its limits so i want to build something different.... if you worry about cost then you shouldn't be building cars
Yer, SPOA.stokedapollo wrote:hey wicked are the fronts still leaves???
and did you use the fron of the rear spring points as the bits for the arms?
Nope. They are mounted to a custom mount close to the T-case.

of course it can.....but is it road legal in Oz?Hoppy11 wrote:So do you think that that GQ diffs and suspension could be grafted onto the MK chassis.

you would be better off just doing custom trailing arms/links and panhard then using GQ stuff. Get a better set up in the end and likely cheaper.
GQ diffs are wider, Wicked knows exactly how much.

Rear - Yes but is it worth it over a 4 link, IMHO No.Hoppy11 wrote:So do you think that that GQ diffs and suspension could be grafted onto the MK chassis.

Front - Need to work out steering and Panhard mount..... Possible....
