Goodluck mate, I had 2 boxes and 2 pumps rebuilt and still didn't help the problem. I finally gave up in the end and just dealt with it. But I was seriously considering fitting Hydraulic Ram Assist which gets tapped into the ports on the power steering box. By all accounts and research that I done, this is by far the best way to go. Do a search, you'll find a bit on it... especially on Pirate4x4.
When in doubt..... UTE-ERIZE it!!!

I'd also like to know, I've had my pump rebuilt 4 times under warranty and it needs another rebuild again (and I'm only on 33's)

I have an 80 series pump / box ? would that kind of swap work ?

Cheers,

Daniel

Seems to turn my 33's ok? Is there an under lying problem in yours MYTANK? Steering joints shagged, tyre pressures? Or is the factory box just not up to it?

$50 for the pump
$30 for the new pully
$120 for custom hose and fitting to suit the como pump
$160 to get the pully machined and some spaces made up to suit the toyota bracket

Save your money and use the old pulley and machine to suit.

My pulley was off the Toyota pump. I machined the mounting on the pump to suit the pulley no need to machine the pulley.
