I have a nl swb there is vibration at approx 80klms when slowing down I have replaced the rear uni joint but noticed there is a lots of play in the
cv joint coming out of the transfer case.
Has anyone found where to by this item as repco, etc do not have
a listing for them.
Mitsi want $1080 for a complete prop shaft(don't sell cv separate).
I think balance is ok(no weights missing, has'nt taking a hit).
Any help would be great.
Darren.

Vibration
Moderator: -Scott-
I think they come pre built with play in the joint there - mine has plenty of play as well but it doesn't leak so I'll leave it alone. Most I ahve seen have a bit of play there.
I have a vibration which starts about 80 km also.

Mine had the same. Replaced the extension housing out of the transfer case and it improved. I also replaced the gearbox mount (the main one) as it was sagged and the little support mount on the LHS was sitting hard against itself and this fixed the problem. There are aftermarket mounts available but the housing is OE.
