Ive just got twin 2 and half inch systems with crossflows in my gu. I dont know the difference between the gu and gq but have no problems with clearance at all. My trucks in the shop getting more engine work done but im pretty sure the drivers side runs back and over the top of my front driveshaft and down the passenger side, Im running a marks bell housing adaptor. But as a safety note... Make sure you run your fuel lines through the chassi passed the extractors/headers and then double it back along your engine bay. I had mine running with in 60mm originally (dangerous)and it runs much, much better now. Also no locking of the engine due to hot fuel... Alot of newbies get caught out as I did.
I'm trying to run them up hi on both sides and merge in to a three inch up past the box as i don't want to run it under the sump and have it smash on rocks . but is there plenty of clearance on driver side with diff and front shaft moving up and down if it all clears there I'm laughing. iv got the extra 2inch body lift should help.??????

hey flexit,,
im running a 454 BB chev in a lwb gq, 3'' body lift, mine is twin 2.5'' from the engine the right hand side follows the bell housing & runs under the gearbox with about 10mm clearence of the box, then meets up with the left just above the gearbox mount & runs twin 2.5'' twin mufflers out the back crossing ova behind the diff, with one pipe on each side of the chassis rails,
it doesnt go under the sump but its the only way it would fit & it works well, i havent ripped it off yet lol
if you give me you e-mail i can send you pics, coz i dont know how on this site... cheers jess
