Seats
The seats were not exactly a bolt on but they're pretty close.
The distance front-to-back between the mounting holes were the same as the zook, but the rails ended up about 50mm further apart. I got some 50mm x 10mm aluminum flat bar and bolted that the the seats and then bolted the rails to that. I like how it lifted them up a little but that might not be the best for those taller ppl among us (i'm about 180/5'10")

Wait - i've just confirmed that you also have Carpet in there? Don't you people have rain / mud / dust / dirty shoes / dogs / grubby children in queensland?
They were pretty good value, and they look clean coz i got them shampoo'd recently (about $28 from memory)
I got these when I was daily driving this thing, so I wanted comfort. I don't like mud and try not to get into that kinda thing too much. I have no kids or pets
I do expect them to get a bit dirty, but for what I do they are great. Some canvas covers would be spot on, but dunno if the $$$ would be worth it.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I have a fibre top and cap off a Maruti that I usually run on the ute, so it keeps most of the sh1t out. When I did the rust in the floors I also made sure that all the little holes were plugged, so carpet should stay reasonably dry, unless i'm trying to do a remake of 20,000 leagues under the sea...

There are XXXX Gold tins there too
At least they're beer cans, unlike the cocktail glasses found around Turps' workshop
love_mud wrote:What roof lining .. your a soft top biatch

Ok.... roof fabric then.... Whatever
I dunno if it's from having to climb out the soft top to attatch the snatch strap or just flung through sunroof area or drivers window
As for ditching carpet to hoseout I still dunno why you didnt do that years ago.....
I had my new power steering box on the floor for a week until all the fluid came out.... pull the plug and a few doughies and it's all gone

You make me laugh, plus there crownies at the moment. As for the cocktail glasses there's none of them the girlfriend has moved onto cruiser lolloy drinks this week. SO
Regardless of which beer is the best, i still reckon you should stop drinking them damo and start thinking about pretending to get ready to get started preparing to get organised to buy what's needed to get the jobs done that are required to finish that bloody truck of yours!!!!

hehehe
Funny you mention that Greg! I'm just about to head out and find me a new grinder. Got some news from Qld Trans this week too, though not everything I need
I think someone should just kill this thread, there is no hope for it now!!
OK, consider this thread officially hijacked for all time. It cannot be recovered, there is no turning back. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
News from QDOT was body lift is approved, and everything else (EXCEPT the suspension) is OK pending an inspection.
Still waiting on news on suspension.
Regarding the baby swampers, yes they are small. They are worn and ride on the road worse than anything except perhaps a timber and iron spoked wheel from some ye olde cart/dray. Have only driven it a few k's on road so far, no real plans to take this one offroad. Swampers are there purely for the 'cred bling bling!
Seriously, it'll be rolling on stockers shortly swampers might make some good sand tyres...

A mate of mine makes up boat covers etc .. he has just got himself his one giga enormous sewing machine .. He could most likley make up some vinyl or canvas seat covers for a pretty reasonable sum if needed ... Your seats would be the same basic shape as mine but without the headrests one would assume ...
Would you like me to find out if he is interested ???

Thanks mate, but in reality - i like my car looking all crappy and run down (besides the bling gauges on the dash of course)...
However, once i get the pretty winch mounted up i may get back to you as i'm considering a little press-stud type cover for the winch to keep it a little bit cleaner
Oh - i reckon you could use a boat cover for yours though - since it sees so much water

What are you talking about scotchbrited. Your suppost to drink the scotch not spill it onto the seats.
Unless your turps then you would spill the scotch reaching for the girly drinks!!
Suppose it would cool the belt down so you don't burn your rear end when your on the back seat with yah pants down

My wifes ride is a 96 swift Gti, I don't think the seats are comfy at all. They are better than stock Sierras, but not that much.
I fitted Toy MR2 seats, narrow and verr adjustable, verr comfy. $200 the pair.
Passenger side took a bit of work with 2x2" steel tube to get the seat raised up enough. Drivers was nearly a bolt in, just used some flat 2x2 to go between the front seat mount holes and the front bolt holes in the original mount holes..
