gq box will put the gear shift under the heater box, as shifter locations are different

Hardly true considering how many boxes there are, and that some are 100% same.

a GU transfer wont go in a GQ either without modding the shifter for the transfer. the selector shafts have the slot for the cotter pin in a different location, meaning the gq shifter wont work with it too good.

wish i had of known this before putting it in, getting to the shifter and thinking....bugger !
