I have a 1991 Land Rover Discovery 200tdi and I had a preparation with 3-link from Safarigard, 36" Super Swuamper..... but 3 year ago I decided a big modification.
My Discovery have a

John, if building a new rear link set up for a defender , new lowers (trailing arms) and new "A" frame, using a rover ball joint.Bush65 wrote:You may find the angle of the upper links is too shallow for the side loads - this is a difficulty with the narrow spacing between rover chassis rails. I would also be worried about the strength of the stock mounting plates at the chassis end of discos.
Otherwise it is impressive - good luck.
what is the minimun angle you would make the "A" arms at, considering the lowers (trailing arms) will be parralell to the chassis rails

Yes very nice, maybe a little on the tall side though.
Anychance you might be able to post it in the Post up your Rover section, or better still in the Members section to show all of what you have done and continually update it?
I know that hundreds of people will read it
Your english is better than a LOT of other people on this site, even though english is thier first language

heyluv4bee'n - no build thread per se, it's been 10 years in the making (actually today is the 10 year anniversary of buying that Disco).
You can see a lot of pictures on my facebook (Nadim Samara) or on YouTube (search DiscoDino).
Cheers,

Thanks man!
Suspension is off the shelf OME ( ), diffs are Toyota 8" Ring and Pinion with 30 spline Jac Mac axles and Longfield Chromo CVs...
Next step is to maintain the engine, ZF, LT, Ashcroft, wrap it around a tube chassis, put a pair of steering Rockwell 2.5t axles, same tires, and coil overs...aiming to drop 500kg by doing that and lowering the center of gravity and gaining stability...
The current items (suspension, axles, wheels, brakes, etc...) will go on my 1998 daily driver and have 35-37 tires for road/camping use...
Good luck with yours...post more pictures/videos ASAP!
