GOING BIGGER??
GOING BIGGER??
HI ALL,AM THINKING OF GOING TO 35s FROM 33s have been told plays havoc with the gearing and drivability,ps going on a 94 rx 4.2d lwb 4" lift(new tyres will be maxxis mudzillas 35x13.5x15),thanks
Re: GOING BIGGER??
Yes it will change your gearing..
FWIW, dyno figures showed my 285 MTR's zapped over 10kw compared to Desert Duellers in 31's.

Next time i'm at Deisel-Tec i'll be running a set of 31/32/35" tyres to see what does what.bogged wrote:Yes it will change your gearing..

Fatso, yes, you will probably find 5th gear out of reach unless your going down hill. Aside from that, you'll have a crapload more noise (mudzillas are hellanoisy), average on-road handling (bitumen isn't the mudzillas forte), more tyre/sidewall roll, decreased turning circle, braking will be a bit worse off too.
Provided you dont try and drive it like a race car, and dont push your car too hard on road, you'll be fine.
